This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for train tickets booked through US Train Ticket (ustrainticket.store). Because we are an independent booking-assistance service, refunds are ultimately governed by the fare rules of the rail carrier that issued your ticket.
1. No Added Service Fee
US Train Ticket does not charge a separate booking or service fee on top of the ticket price. As a result, refunds are based on the carrier's fare and any taxes or charges they assess. We do not deduct a markup from your refund.
2. Carrier Fare Rules Apply
Every train fare has its own rules set by the rail carrier. Some fares are fully refundable, some are partially refundable, and some are non-refundable. The fare rules for your specific ticket are confirmed at the time of booking. Please review them carefully before completing your reservation.
3. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
To cancel a booking or request a refund, call us at (888) 705-2999 or email contact@ustrainticket.store with your confirmation number and travel details. We will process your request according to the carrier's rules and the timing of your request.
4. Refund Timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Once processed, refunds typically appear within 7–14 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer and the carrier's processing time.
5. Non-Refundable Situations
- Non-refundable fares, as defined by the rail carrier.
- "No-show" tickets where travel was missed without prior cancellation.
- Requests made after the deadline allowed by the fare rules.
- Partial or unused portions of certain ticket types, where the carrier does not permit refunds.
6. Schedule Changes and Disruptions
If a rail carrier cancels or significantly changes your train, the carrier's policies determine your eligibility for a refund or rebooking. We will assist you in submitting any applicable request to the carrier, but we do not control the outcome.
7. Changes to Bookings
Where the fare permits changes, we will help you modify your booking. The carrier may charge a fare difference for changes. We do not add our own change fee.
8. Disputed Charges
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can review and resolve the issue promptly before initiating a dispute with your bank.
